Hello, i have 2820h mobo, and i want to upgrade my cpu i have pentium 2180e, can i upgrade to core 2 duo e 8500? Or what is the best i can upgrade to?

Here is the official support list for that board from HP. I would update to the latest bios before changing the CPU.

I have bought already e8500 But it says microcode error and it doesn't detect new cpu... I have BIOS v01.04 and i don't think that i can update my bios,
