I am wondering if I can upgrade e3400 to q8300 with this setup:
PSU: 420W
Motherboard: g41m-p26(ms-7592)
Is it compatible?
Cpu fan spins at 4200 rpm with nt-h1 noctua thermal paste, so will thermals be okay?
Ask if you need more information!
Thanks in advance!

The motherboard is compatible with that quad, yes. Despite the 95w TDP, the actual power draw of that quad is under 65w so just about any heatsink should work, as that's about the same as an E4300, if that's what you mean.

From an E4300, that would increase the FSB from 800 to 1333 so you'd have to have at least DDR2-667, but I see that's a DDR3 board so would be OK.
