Hi guys,

I wonder if I can upgrade my GPU on my notebook, 960M started to fell real weak, mostly games playing on 20 fps on min details is quite annoying , I see now that 1050 TI its like 45% faster than mine, and 1060 is 85% faster than mine GPU.

So I wonder if I can upgrade my notebook. Even if I need to replace to whole motherboard aka , CPU + GPU im OK if I can find a price for that , because right now I can't get more than 700 euro for my notebook as second hand, which will lead me to pay and extra 600 euro to get a new one with 1060.

Thanks in advance :)

No, you can't upgrade gpu. It is soldered onto motherboard.

No, Definitely not possible with your laptop. In fact I'm not aware of any laptops within recent history that even has such a feature. (There were some at one time, but they're old and outdated by today's standards)

Since laptops are the epitome of proprietary design, I wish you luck finding another system board with a better CPU and GPU combo (you might in a variation of the same model, but not with a jump to the most recent GPU and/or CPU) that will work within your existing case (space, IO ports, etc) and using your current screen and keyboard.

IOW: you may be better off getting a new laptop vs the time & effort to attempt such an upgrade, which in all likelihood will fail due to not finding parts that will work.
