Can I upgrade my b960 to i5 3230m?

Hi guys, I have pentium b960 sandybridge (988b rPGA) and I want to upgrade it.
Is it possible to upgrade to i5 3230m ivybridge? it have same socket and same tdp.

Maybe. What laptop do you have, exactly?
Most laptops do NOT support CPU upgrades, for a number of reasons.

Most laptops do NOT support CPU upgrades, for a number of reasons.

I have lenovo G400-5009

According to this:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/675417/Lenovo-G400.html?page=72&term=CPU&selected=2
on page 72, there are instructions for removing and replacing the CPU.
The only show-stopper I can see is that the BIOS may not support the new CPU.
Call Lenovo to confirm or deny the compatibility of the new CPU with that laptop.
