Hello! I was just wondering if anyone here knows about the HP Compaq Elite series; specifically the 8300 SFF model- which is the one I have. I see that there are multiple variants of it online (i3, i5, i7), and I'm just wondering if I could upgrade the one I have now (which has the i3-3220) with an i5-3470 (or maybe even an i5-3570?). I think that they have the same motherboard, and the CPU's are the only difference, but I'm not sure and I would want to know before I upgrade the CPU because I wouldn't want to waste the money.

Here is the only thing I found about it on their page. There is nothing about upgradability or about the motherboard, but it says here in the processors "LGA 1155 Intel 2nd & 3rd Generation Core i3, i5, i7 processors." I am also aware that there is a specifically an i5-3470 model of this PC, but I already have one, and I only want to upgrade the CPU.

I'm really interested in this since my friend is upgrading and he's selling to me the i5-3470 at a very low price (though, there is also an i5-3570s for sale online, would this be better? Please let me know.) I can't play Dota 2, CS:GO, Apex and other games smoothly, and I want to improve video editing performance and just overall smoothness of the PC.

Note: The price my friend is selling to me this CPU is just around ~$30 and from what I've seen from the benchmarks, the i5-3470 is still a good processor (it even goes on par against the Ryzen 3 2200g).
Note 2: I have also discovered that there is a i5-3570s which is virtually the same (if not, slightly superior) as the i5-3470 for $5 more. It says it has lower power consumption, does this mean it is the better choice for my PC?

Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you, and have a good day!
