Hi there, first of all I would like to say that I use my laptop for gaming. Recently with all these newer games coming out I am struggling to run them with a decent FPS due to my CPU and Graphics card being low end.

Acer Aspire V3-571 (The i3 version)
Intel Core i3-3110M (2.4GHz 3MB L3 cache)
Intel HD Graphics 400

I have heard that there is a new Intel Graphics card called the 'Iris' .

My question is, can I upgrade it and can I put an i5 with and Iris inside it?

nope, laptops are non-upgradeable. The most you can do is upgrade the HDD and Ram, and on newer devices even that is not an option anymore.

If you need to do gaming on a laptop then you simply need to lay down the $2000 to get a gaming laptop. The much better option is buying a gaming PC and getting a laptop that is simply 'good enough' for your day-to-day workloads. A $2000 laptop is roughly equivilant to an $1000 PC. It is rather sad really.

Just as was said, on laptops, the CPU is soldered onto the motherboard. The only things on a laptop that can be upgraded is the hard drive, RAM, optical drive, and battery. With a laptop in the CPU and GPU department, you are stuck with what you bought the machine with.

No.
Firstly, the Intel HD 4000 is integrated onto the CPU.
Secondly, changing the CPU of a laptop is rarely possible (It is, but rarely!).
Thirdly, even if you somehow get the Iris Pro (Intel HD 5200) containing CPU, even that won't be quite enough for the heavy games today.
Conclusion, it will be better to get a gaming PC or to buy a better laptop with a dedicated graphic card.
