upgrading to a 970 won't help.2gb of ram is hopeless for proper gaming. i can assume with fair amount of certainty that your psu can't handle it either. your cpu is rubbish and your motherboard doesn't support any new processors.
i would recommend a full rebuild as your case probably doesn't have sufficent cooling for a gaming system.
