Hello guys, i just finished added External GPU to my laptop.. i added 6950 2GB and the results are amazing.. the problem is that in csgo im having 100-150 fps, and the reason is the CPU.. in my home pc the 6950 was connected to a strong i7 and i had 300 fps.. but now the cpu limits the performance of my gpu... is it possible to upgarde CPU? or u say maybe overcloking it? will it give a better performance?
My laptop is HP Elitebook 2570p, with i7 3520m, i upgrade it to 8gb ram, added 120 gb ssd and i guess this is all the information i can give..

remeber to get more ram if still on 4 gbs, go to 98 gbs, also consider a ssd and remove the oltical drve to install a hard disk bay and put the hard disk in there to get as much storage capacity as possible

i think you have the biggest cpu for that model already and you have done the changes i mentioned already

if you want more, i think you need a desktop pc and a new gou, that one is quite old and power hungry, the pci express 1x slot adapter you used limits alot the gpu, so that is a problem too

about overcloking, that is a laptop, i wouldn't try it , the psu , the charger...
