can i upgrade my laptop processor !

i have lenovo G50-45
processor : E1-6010
Ram : 4GB DDR3
Package : socket FT3 (BGA 769)
mainboard : lancer 5B2

As far as laptops go, most of the times the processor is soldered in, so you cant change it.

no you can't. Laptop processors are soldered to the MoBo.

Most often times lenovo makes their cpu sockets NON-soldered. So it is very possible. Most g50 notebooks have a removeable slot. All that is need is some know how on how to replace a cpu in general, combined with some pictures for your specific machine.

Required tools generally :

Small phillips screw driver. Glasses repair size roughly.
One medium sized flat head screw driver to release the Cpu from it's socket view the release screw.
Common sense, and knowledge of what processors will fit your socket. Not all socket's are the same, and there are even different versions of the same model for example. Amd a10.... 5750 And Amd a10 ..... 6460....

I am infact typing right now on a machine that used to be a dual core 2.9ghz lenovo thinkpad AMD A65350 that i just upgraded last week to a A10 5750, that combined with a ram upgrade to 16gb made night and day differences in how the machine operates, and throwing in a 512GB toshiba SSD. So don't tell people it can't be done. Because as it stands right now. I took a 250.00 machine and made it better than 99 percent of the everyday computers you could go purchase off of a shelf at best buy, or walmart/sams club. You just have to do your research. Some models are , some are not. I believe though you have one that definetly is. Even the intel sockets in the G50 are upgradeable to an I7 chipset from a i5 and so on...

You forgot about the anti-static wristband, by the way. Also, most of the time on laptops, the processor IS soldered in, by the way. If lenovo doesn't solder, then they're the exception rather than the rule. As far as that socket goes, Im not too sure on what processor options you have on that socket.

I personally did some research it seems some g50s are soldered some are not. . As stated before it's all relative. Now as far as the latters comment i agree it isn't the most common thing, but on medium to higher end laptops it is becoming more common which is good.

The AMD E1-6010 APU is socket BGA769.

"BGA" means the APU is soldered into the motherboard.
