Good day, I am pretty "green" in all these hardware things. Just wanted some answers to my questions which been on my mind past few days. Would like to know if I could upgrade my processor and GPU on this laptop?

SAMSUNG NP270E5V.
Some specifications:
CPU Family name: Core i5
CPU Model Number: i5-3230M
Clock speed: 2600 MHz
Chipset: Intel HM75 Express
Memory (RAM): 8GB
Memory type: DDR3
Frequency speed: 1600 MHz
VGA card: NVIDIA GeForce 710M
Graphics memory size: 2 GB
Also it has integrated intel hd 4000 graphics.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I googled chipset and from this link ( [url=http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb...ade.com/mb-Intel_(chipsets)/HM75_Express.html [/url] ) I think it supports 4 core processors and some i7 mobile processors?

Solution
On that laptop you could change the RAM and the CPU.

But if you want to change the CPU, watch out the TDP of the new CPU. The thermal solution on your laptop is designed for 35W TDP. If you put a 45W TDP CPU, it could thermal throttle or shut down due to thermal issues.

Solution
The maximum memory support is 16GB. The memory controller supports it.

Nothing is completely sure, but it looks possible to upgrade to that CPU. Sometimes the chipset (the HM75 express) is not compatible with the CPU and it won't work.

You can't upgrade your GPU because it's soldered to the Motherboard. Technically, you can. But that means unsolder the GPU find other compatible pin-to-pin GPU and solder that one, which is a risky procedure.
