Hello im planning to upgrade my Laptop's memory, i checked max memory capacity and it says 16gb, but currently the laptop already has 2 of the memory slots full. Specs say its 4gb soldered and a 4gb sodimm, could i replace the sodimm one to a higher memory?

Welcome to the forum's, newcomer!

We will need a little more information. Please parse the make and model as well as the SKU to your laptop. We can move forward from there.
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ARE05 model 81W4

I have no clue what an SKU is or how to find it, care to elaborate?

When doing sodimms, could i do it myself or would i need a professional technician from Lenovo itself to do it for me?
Depends on your comfort level with electronics. Most of the time, memory is designed to be accessed by the consumer, but if you don't feel comfortable, it's easy money for a pro as it literally takes 5 minutes.
