[SOLVED] Can I upgrade my processor Pentium T4200 in Compaq CQ40 ?

Hi,
Just wanted to know if it's possible to upgrade my processor to the higher one and what processor is compatible with my laptop Compaq CQ40-337TU ?

Current Specs:
Pentium® Dual-Core Mobile Processor T4200 • 2.0 GHz, 1 MB L2 Cache, 800 MHz FSB, 35W TDP, Socket P

If it so, can I upgrade it to Core 2 Duo T9500 or T9600 maybe ?? Or there is other option?...

As per manual, it supports a t9400 or t9600,(page 9 or 93)

Manual encompasses all CQ40 models, so ignore the amd options.

Do be sure to clean off the old thermal paste and re-apply new paste.

I don't think it is possible to upgrade T9500 and T9600 use socket 479 but T4200 uses socket 478.

Sorry! My bad. Yes you are right I confused Socket P 478 with older Sockets 478 and 479.
Socket P for T4x00, X7x00, X9x00, QX9300 etc...
