My PC currently has the following specs
Processor • Intel Core i5-7600 3.5 GHz
CPU Cooling • COOLER MASTER Hyper 212
Motherboard • H110 Chipset Mobo
Memory • 16GB DDR4 2133Mhz
HDD • 128GB Ironside Titanium SSD + 1TB
Graphics Card • Geforce GTX 1060 6GB
Power Supply • EVGA 600 Watt 80 Plus Bronze

I am wanting to upgrade to an i7-8700 processor to help with streaming and video recording. Will I have to upgrade other parts or would I just be ok buying a new processor and replacing my old one?

it really depends on your budget. if you just replace the cpu with your existing board you'd only be able to get a quad-core with HT at best that you can't OC. BAD IDEA for the money spent. things change so fast that you want to get the most out of what you spend. doing a little research will go a long way. You're here, so you're decision making is already in question!!!!! just kidding good luck

here are a couple basic options for you to think about both will do

inexpensive option i5 8400 h310 motherboard $350ish NO OC
expensive option i7 8700k z370 motherboard $500+ OC POSSIBLE

both will work with your existing gear. if you really need the extra horsepower get the 8700k or go Ryzen
