[SOLVED] Can I upgrade my wifi card?

Hi,
These are my PC specifications:
Ryzen 1600
16 DDR4 3600mhz
Asrock AB350 ITX/AC
Dan Case a4sfx
600W psu
I am looking to upgrade my onboard wifi card from Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 to intel ax200 , is it possible to just do a straight swap on the motherboard i have and just install drivers? what all should i be considering compatibility wise?

Out of curiosty, the PCIe wifi cards, can you remove them from the housing (like this one TP-link Wifi6 AX3000 PCIe) and swap it with the onboard one?

You cant "swap" out the built on motherboard wifi it's literally soldered onto the motherboard. Since your motherboard only has 1 PCIe slot and Im assuming its taken up by a GPU, then your only other option would be a USB wifi adapter.

Thanks! The built in wifi housing seems to be screwed in from the bottom of the motherboard based on this picture and the wifi card installed in that black PCI slot. But the posts says to replace with something similar and not upgrade, hmm ill have to research a bit more. the wires on that wifi car, soldered right?

it is just a m.2 with A and E key
as long as there is driver for the OS. should work.

hmm I see, thanks for the info! I found an intel wifi card and it seems to be delivered pre-soldered based on the pictures atleast.
