I have a Dell G3 15 3500, ram is 2933 mhz currently. I saw GSkill Ripjaw 3200 sodimm and was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade and If this laptop would recognize 3200 mhz. According to Dell it says it will work but doesn't say if it will run at 3200 or stay 2933. Not sure if it will even make a big performance difference vs the 60.00 cost.

It would only work at 2933 even if the jedec profile is there. Chipset limitation and laptop limitation.

In a blind test, you couldn't tell the difference.
