[SOLVED] Can I upgrade storage and memory before initial boot?

I recently purchased an MSI laptop that's to be delivered next week. I also purchased a couple compatible RAM sticks (2 x 16gb) and an additional 500gb SSD. The computer comes with one 8gb ram stick and one 500mb SSD stock. This laptop actually has two slots for storage so I will just put in the new SSD in addition to the stock one.

My real question is - Can I do all of this before I boot up my laptop for the first time? Would there be any negative implications of doing so? Or should I boot and go through the initial PC set up first before powering down and making the changes?

"Would there be any negative implications of doing so? "
I can't think of any but...
why not...
"go through the initial PC set up first before powering down and making the changes "

This way...if there's anything wrong with the PC...you will know before you fiddle with it and the supplier won't be able to blame you for screwing it up.
