Question Can I upgrade this computer ?

I want to teach online this summer using "Zoom" but I want to upgrade my computer as it does not work that well with the current Zoom software, I'm using an older version.

You could upgrade cpu to haswell i7 (35W and 45W models) and
upgrade ram to 16GB (DDR3 SODIMM).

List of all haswell desktop cpu models.
i7-4770T - would probably be most appropriate.

Note i7-4770K - is 84W cpu, i7-4770S is 65W cpu. Your cooling system may not be able to cool them down.
Your current cpu G3220T - is 35W. So you should be looking at 35W (max 45W) replacement cpus.

the max would be i7 4770t
or i5-4570T

other things you can do is upgrade your drive to a ssd.

Haswell/4th Gen chips are absolutely not compatible with your system.

The Lenovo hardware guide for this specific model doesn't mention anything about replacing CPU or multiple CPUs being available for this model period.

umm he current has a G3220T

Products formerly Haswell in his all in one

i5-4570t is the safest bet because there are models out there from the c460 that have that already​

Ah I didn't put the G in and there's an IVB 3220T. The latter still stands there's nothing about other CPUs in the hardware maintenance or specs. I imagine it could work, but AIOs are always a question mark.

no problem from personal experience you can normally get away with these so long as there within the eco system e.g the g3220t is one but they did have models of the i5-4570t variant as well.

intel naming schemes have always been a headache i still get caught of guard between 1155 and 1150 and dont get my started on 1151 using G3900.

Yeah the sockets themselves aren't too bad, but when 1156/1155/1150/1151 are the exact same thing you need to stick to the proper generational naming. That's peak dumb calling something G3900 which is a Skylake part. I guess that goes in line with the all of the "not good enough for Core" CPUs since ADL is G7xxx and G8xxx.
