Can I upgrade this laptop cpu?

Can I upgrade a Toshiba Satellite L50-C03E's i7-5500U? It's got a BGA1168 socket. I want to upgrade it because it is bottlenecking my gpu.

Not if it's a BGA1168. BGA is soldered on.

And also, I think the case would more likely be the GPU bottlenecking the i7-5500U. That thing's the best you can get from Broadwell, having 4 cores/8 threads.

U-series is a 15W 2-core chip with a large cache.

Regardless, can't be changed.
