Hope u all doing well I need guidence about my Laptop upgrade
System details
MY LAPTOP MODEL IS Toshiba satellite c850-1g2
,Baseboard product is intel PLCSF8 version Type-2

CPU CELERON 1000M
Ram memory : 2gb

i have checked the compatibilty of ram and ssd for my laptop is 16 gb max


plz kindly confirm should i go for 8 gb 2 sticks

i want to upgrade max 16gb

yes you can go for 16GB. You will need to look for 2x8GB DDR3-1600MHz kit.

Would you be interested in a processor upgrade? If so, you should look at the i5's from the mobile Ivy Bridge platform. Prior to dropping in your rams, you should make sure your laptop's BIOS is up to date.

2gb is terrible. If your windows is a 32 bit version, the max ram that can be used is 4gb.
If you have a 64 bit os, then here is what crucial supports for your laptop:

A ssd upgrade will be a wonderful performance upgrade.
It can be a very easy upgrade.
But a samsung 2.5" 860 EVO of sufficient capacity to hold the used contents of your HDD.
A 500gb ssd is about $60 in the us.
Buy a usb to sata adapter cable, about $10.
Download and run the samsung ssd migration app to copy your C drive the the usb attached ssd.

When done, replace the original HDD with the ssd.

Your cpu is not the fastest, but upgrading ram and ssd will make a world of difference.
