[SOLVED] Can I upgrade to a processor thats memory type is DDR4 if my motherboard can only hold DDR3 ram?

Hello, i am looking to upgrade my processor very soon, the few i have had my eyes on all have DDR4 memory type, my motherboard holds DDR3 RAM, is this an issue?
