Can i upgrade win8.1 from within win8 without loss of C drive data

i have win8.1 ISO file and pre-installed win8 in my laptop. Can i upgrade it via a bootable win8.1 pendrive from within win8 itself so i need not loose any of my C drive data because i have too much of stuff stored in C drive which i can't afford to loose at any cost including saved games. Can't reach those levels again in games like BIO SHOCK, NFS RUN, CRYSIS3 🙁

If yes how please give a detailed step to follow guide lines for it.

1. With any major change, it is highly advisable to have your critical data saved elsewhere and offline. Just in case.

2. You do not need the Win 8.1 ISO to upgrade from 8 to 8.1. The recommended way is directly through the Store.

i can't do that from store its a pirated version my friend and the one i have for ISO( 8.1 )is also pirated with crack
