Hello there, so i've lost mount bracket parts of my case when i moved to an another town. Since these mounting bracket parts (also called hdd rails) unique to every case i can't mount a hard disk. I didn't mount my ssd because there are no moving parts in ssds but i recently bought a 2.5" hdd. Can i use it without mounting it to the case? If not i will return it and get a solid state disk.

I wouldnt advise not securing an HDD to a proper mount point. Since it has moving parts, the potential damage to the drive alone from vibrating loose in the rig could be very bad. A loose SSD should not be a big deal since there is no moving parts or vibrations. If you want to at least keep an SSD from sliding around, you can at least tape it down without much worry.
