Hello everyone. I would like to buy another 8gb RAM to my PC for dual channel 16gb , but I cannot find exactly same HyperX Savage DDR4 2400MHz CL12 - will it be ok to pair it with another HyperX Savage but for example CL13 2133MHz or 2800Mhz CL14? Thanks.

My PC spec
  • AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • MOBO: MSI A320M PRO-VD PLUS (MS-7B38)
  • RX 570
  • RAM HyperX Savage CL12 2400MHz
  • Size8192 MBytes
    Max bandwidthDDR4-2134 (1067 MHz)
    Part numberKHX2400C12D4/8GX
    Serial numberA210AB16

Solution
Well, that's going to be hard to tell. I would go with the CL16 3200MHz. Ryzen favors faster frequency memory. Real-world applications may not see much of a difference, but I recommend at least 3200MHz for Ryzen, maybe even 3600MHz, if the bill fits your budget.

Not sure about overclocking your memory, for like 1-2 fps difference. That may be an imperceptible difference. However, please make sure that you select your memory's X.M.P. profile, under the D.O.C.P. settings.

I wouldn’t try that.
Though it might work, it will run at the lowest speed, with issues when trying to enable XMP profiles.

I’d sell the module and buy a kit of 2.

Thanks for replies. It's time for new RAM. Last question, which one will be better CL16 but 3200MHz or CL15 3000MHz ? Is it possible to overclock it on my cheap motherboard "MSI A320M PRO-VD PLUS (MS-7B38)" ?
