can I use 2 sets of ram with cas latency of 0.5 and 15 on the same server blade?

Hello,
I have a cisco ucs blade and it has 16 dimms of 16 gb ram of this type : Samsung 16GB DDR-2133-MHz RDIMM/PC4-17000/dual rank/x4/1.2v
& I plan to add 8 more dimms of 16gb of this model: Samsung DDR4 2133MHz CL15 16GB RegECC 2Rx4 M393A2G40EB1-CPB 1.2V

The question is : the existing set of RAM has CAS latency of 0.5 and the one's that I plan to buy has 15. Will it work fine if I club them or will it throw memory errors causing the entire blade to go down?

.5 is not a valid latency. Do not just get random RAM, get what is validated to use on the device.

So, it is not recommended to use two models of ram with different latency?

It's fine for normal use, for a sever you want to use whatever RAM the vendor has tested as OK to use with the hardware. It should work with no issues, but you could run into support issues if you deviate from official spec RAM.
