Hello, i would like to know some info about the "alienware aw2518h monitor g-sync", i will buy a new build for gaming:

gtx 1070 ti graphics card

Ryzen 7 2700x cpu

16GB ram 3200mhz

I want to buy this monitor with these specifications but i want to change the 240hz to 144hz because the 240hz is a lot of hz for the moment. Two questions:

1. Can i use g-sync if i do 144hz on this monitor?

2. Will i have any problems using 144hz on this 240hz monitor? Or will i have ghosting, screen tearing etc?

I want to have 240hz and use it at 144hz for futureproof until i change the gpu and cpu and then use it at 240hz.

Isn't the whole point of G-sync that you have a variable refresh rate? https://pcmonitors.info/others/nvidia-g-sync-variable-refresh-rate-technology/

I doubt that would be an issue. I have a 144hz monitor and play games at 60fps all the time with no problems. And that monitor is 1080p anyways, so you should get a pretty high framerate anyways.

Thanks for the response. Will i have to low the graphics on most games such as pubg, fortnite? Or i will be good at 144hz on this 240hz monitor? Considering that i will have a 1070 ti r7 2700x plus g-sync.
