This would be a temporary thing. I will replace it as I saved enough money.
CPU is Pentium G4560
Mobo is Gigabyte GA-B250-D3H
NO GRAPHICS CARD
4GB RAM

Can I use a 4-pin on a 8-pin power connector with this motherboard?

The manual says this https://imgrpost.com/image/7h38 maybe it will work

Ok, while your CPU won't need 8pins worth of power, normally the board won't boot without all 8 pins connected, you MIGHT get it to work by connecting only to the right side of the connector, based on what the manual says. However my comment from my last post stands, unless you have a PSU that has dual 4 pins (in which case link them together to get an 8 pin) if it doesn't have it you need a new PSU...
You sure of that board model number? That is a Ryzen board, hence the 8 pin connector.

Assuming you end up with an 8 pin board anyway, you need to connect all 8, The board will not boot otherwise. if your PSU doesn't have that its likely low end or poor quality and I would highly recommend against using it.

oops, its b250

but basing on the manual, would it still it work?

It's low power setup, the system will probably boot with 4pin cpu power too. Pentium G4560 is 54W.
You can also use 4pin to 8pin adapter.

Yeah never do this. While the CPU is low wattage, there is still always a possibility of overdrawing the line and what its rated for. That PSU is not up to snuff, using a bandaid like this is a really bad choice.

forgot to mention that the PSU is 500w

i will just try to plug it to the right side of the connector

For a high end system I'd totally agree.
But this is low end, low power pentium system and with no graphics card. It's gonna be fine with 4pin to 8pin adapter.
And motherboard doesn't support overclocking, so there's no reason to worry about excessive cpu power draw either.

A "500w" PSU that only has a 4 pin connector I would not trust. If it was say an older PSU that only had a 4 pin sure. While I agree low power Pentium and so on, even considering an adapter like that is not a good choice.
