Theres no reason you cant, AS5 is somewhat of an older paste, there are other alternatives that are cheaper and perform better with no cure time, but if you already have it then use it.

A solid CPU cooler would be the cryorig H7.

Yes that would be fine, as for a cooler I'd recommend the Cryorig H7 as a budget friendly cooler that is much quieter over the Intel stock cooler and will keep it much cooler.
