Can I use a ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 with a FX6300 ?

My problem is that, I will be updating my PC very soon but some parts will come after and I'm not sure about compatibility!
I will be buying a ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 mobo, upgrading from my M5A97 EVO R2.0 and while I wait for my new FX8350 to arrive, I need to use the FX6300 I already have on the Sabertooth. Can I do it ?

One last question, are my specs balanced and is it worth upgrading?

hard to say on that to me if I was to go spend today I would invest in a intel rig and not keep buying the past today [opinion] you will or may see some gains but I don't think anything to have you say 'I got my moneys worth overall .. but that's just me ..

all you can do is what you feel is best for you .. AM3+ is what drove me over to intel for my first time ever in 16 years
