Can I use a corsair vengeance with a corsair value select?

I have a value of 8gb 1600mhz, and wanted to buy a Vengeance of 8gb 1600mhz, would it be a problem to use the two together?

Mixing & matching RAM modules (even of the same line - vengeance etc) can be problematic.

Better would be ... buying ONE pair of Vengeance "in the same package" as opposed to buying 2 of anything. If ya have a dual channel motherboard, then you always want to buy RAM as a matched pair which have been tested at the factory as being able to function together and sold as a single package.
