Question Can I use a DDR3 processor with DDR2 ram and motherboard? If yes, I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86ghz 900Mhz processor with an LGA 775 motherboar

I was thinking to upgrade my Intel Core 2 duo E6300 1.86ghz 32-bit and I have an LGA 775 mobo. Can I upgrade to 64 bit Core 2 Quad Q8200 which is a 64-bit DDR3 processor. And both are based on diffrent nm.

The Q8200 could be used in motherboards which accepted DDR2 or DDR3. It can't work in all LGA 775 motherboards. You'll need to look up the CPU support list for your specific motherboard.
