Hello everybody,

I want to know, how likely it is, that a cooler from a similar GPU will Work as a replacement.

Some details: I have an RX 580 2048 SP. The brand is Envinda. 8 GB gddr5 , two fan cooler wih some copper heatpipes, six pin power connector and the problem is:
The fans are LOUD
!

They are hearable at idle and when the graphics card is under full load they become very loud.
The fans run at 2600 rpm maximum.
I tried exchanging the pads and the paste.
That was a waist of time.
The numbers ( fan speed and temperature) didn't change in a noticable way.

So i thought , maybe a different cooler would help.

How likely is it, that this might solve my issue?
And will this even work?

I thought about this cooler :
MSI Card

Or maybe this one:
Powercolor card

And i have this card:

Can anybody recommend this transplantation ?

I could do that. But how should i regulate those fans apropiately ? It's an interesting aproach, but the fans would be be bigger than the heatsink.
You can get a 2-way splitter for the fans and plug 'em into a spare mobo header.
Actually i already have one. I could combine it with two F12 Arctic fans, that i also happen to have laying around.

New question that results from this idea.
Will the card work, if it doesn't detect it's fans?

You control/set the fan curve through bios. Easy.

Hello,
I tried that method. It works. It lowered the temperature a couple of degrees but the intended purpose: - lowering the noise - was only the case, when the card was under load. When watching movies, the noises coming from the fans were just the same. I used three pin Fans, because thats what i had available. Arctic F12 times two with a splitter cable.

Are you sure the motherboard doesn't support GPU temperature based fan control? This is a fairly common setting.

Many motherboards offer both DC and PWM control as well, may just need to switch the mode.

As for your original plan, compare the bare GPU PCB to other cards. Google image search can usually get you what you need to know.

Also potentially AIO water cooling for the GPU.

My final solution was to add some new fans to the heatsink. I used some fans from Asus with the correct size and attached them somehow. They are really ok. I also exchanged the thermal pads once again.
