can i use a different pci-e vga cable?

My psu came with a pci-e vga cable that has 6 pin + 8(6+2) but my gpu supports 8 pin + 8 pin is it okay if i get a pci-e vga cable that has 8 pin + 8 pin? Thanks!

My psu is evga 650w g2 supernova
And my gpu is evga gtx 1080 ftw

Youll just have to run two PCIe cables from the PSU.
Do not buy a different cable to do this, use the ones included.

Use the cables that came with the PSU , THEY AREN'T INTERCHANGEABLE.
