I have an assembled PC with the following configuration:
CPU: AMD A6-6400K APU
Motherboard: Gigabyte F2A68HM-S1
RAM: HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3 1866MHz (HX318C10F/8)

I want to upgrade the processor to A8-7600 and add more memory. So, can I use a different RAM along with the current one?

Solution

Getting un-matched ram to work together is problematical at best, impossible at worst! Even the SAME brand, model, speed, timings, etc., if bought at different times, is not guaranteed to work together.

They sell ram in matched sets for a reason.

Maybably. Manufacturers don't guarantee their DIMMs to work as a mix. Sometimes they don't even guarantee that they'll even work beyond single DIMM per channel configuration. You won't know until you try it. In theory, standards are there so that it has a fair chance of maybe, probably work.

try it, love it or return as simple as that. NOBODY will guarantee, still you're 50/50 you will just pop them in and they will work.
It's worth to try, just make sure you can return opened package.
