[SOLVED] Can I use a DVD player component from an old portable DVD player as external DVD player for my pc?

First of all, I don't have a DVD player in my pc..I had an old portable DVD player and I took its DVD playing component out from it...

That's pretty expensive for such an old tech,posting in the Classifieds (of a local to him forum if he's not in america) he will probably get one for a buck or two.
