Solution ThatVietGuy Apr 7, 2016 Jlg823 : ThatVietGuy : This router? - http://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-routers/WNDR3400.aspx Where does it say it's a modem? Nope http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/DGND3700V2/DGND3700v2_UM_05June2014.pdf Ok. Yes, this device can be used as a stand-alone router. Plug an ethernet cable from your Comcast modem to the ethernet port labeled 4 in the diagram and you're good to go.
