[SOLVED] can I use a normal ddr4 memory on a xeon e5 2683 v3?

Hi, I am building a cheap pc from aliexpress and wanted to know if I could use normal ddr4 memory on a xeon e5 2683 v3 or only server memories? any help is appreciated thanks for reading till here.

The CPU supports both. BUT the motherboard not necesseraly, and often supports only non EEC or EEC RAM but not both.
Thus short answer is " it will depend on your motherboard "

The Xeon e5 2683 v3 supports up to 768GB of DDR4-1600/1866/2133 MHz RAM.

yeah, this I know, what I want to know is if it needs to be a ecc memory or I can use a normal ddr4 memory with it
