Can I use a Nvidia card for PhysX in a all amd Gaming PC?

Alright, I have a AMD Phenom ii x4 965 BE Overclocked to 4.2GHz
And a Overclocked MSI R7-370 4GB Edition
, And I was wondering if I could put a Nvidia GPU in the PC for the sole use of PhysX. Thanks in advanced guys!

Used to be able to, then AMD or NVidia or one of them started messing with drivers that if it detected the other guys card, wouldn't work, but I don't know what the state of it is today, or if it only works with a certain OS, etc.

There is usually a work around to get PhysX to work on your CPU/APU. That would be a better solution in my opinion.

I've heard there is a way to enable it if it doesn't work. So it is possible.
