Can I use a PCI-e 2.1 video card in a PCI-e 2.0 motherboard?

Hello,
Can I use a PCI-e 2.1 video card in a PCI-e 2.0 motherboard?
I have an older PC with PCI-e 2.0 but I want a new video card and all of the newer ones specify 2.1 are they interchangeable?

Yes, there aren't actually PCI-E 2.1 slots, just 2.1 cards that have some extra features that will work when 3.0 slots come out.

Absolutely, as benski said there aren't any 2.1 slots yet, the card will work no problem in a 2.0 slot.
