Can I use a racing wheel and gear shift from different companies?

I am getting the Thrustmaster Ferrari racing wheel for Christmas. Can I use a logitech gear shifter with this? It says it can be used with g29 and g920 wheels but is there a way to make it work with the thrustmaster wheel? I plan to use it with games like euro truck simulator 2 and grid autosport. Thanks

If it takes a standard USB port, sure. But if that logitech one uses a special plug that plugs into the wheel itself, probably not.

According to reports of Thrustmaster T300 users (of which I have) it will be recognized as a shifter but the buttons will not work for mapping in the games. I have a G27 wheel as well and the shifter on that has a serial connection that goes into the wheel itself.

What I don't know is how the newer G29/920 shifter is connected. Is it USB or serial into the base of the wheel like the G27? I have not tried buying a serial-USB adapter to see what happens when plugged into the PC. I do have an adapter so my superior G27 pedals work with the T300.
