At least 5 years old.Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
How old is the PSU? I'd advise not to, better pickup a brand new PSU while you're buying the GPU mentioned above.
It's not about the wattage only. S12II 520w is a very old group regulated unit with bad protections. Pretty decent 15 years ago but a crappy unit nowadays.Yes, you can use a Seasonic S12II 520W power supply unit (PSU) to power an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB graphics card. The RTX 3060 has a recommended power supply requirement of around 550W, and the Seasonic S12II 520W PSU should be sufficient for this purpose. Maybe, you can go with 600W or 650W.
If that's the TUF Bronze unit it seems like it might be an okay choice if it's inexpensive.Kindly adwise me a new one with 80 plus ratings.
Is asus tuf 650 is good one.
I have to wait 5-6 months though. If that's the TUF Bronze unit it seems like it might be an okay choice if it's inexpensive.
This is a useful list for at the very least getting an idea how good a PSU is: https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
Picking a PSU depends very much on where you're buying from as prices vary massively between regions.
personally i would use a 750w 80 bronze min ..I have to wait 5-6 months though.
Can i use this card with this power supply for 5-6 months.
If not than i have to use my gtx 960 .
😅
Install MSI Afterburner, power limit your GPU to 80% power (based on default power settings, you never said which specific model you had so if you have one that uses more drop to 75%) and it should be okay, but you should really get a newer decent quality PSU soon as you can.I have to wait 5-6 months though.
