Can I use a trendnet tew-637ap as adapter?

It's simple. I know that the tew-637ap is used to get wireless from a non wireless router.

But can I use in reverse to connect my desktop into it and connect to wireless through it. Essentially like adhoc

It the the reverse of what you want. A AP is technically a server device you want a client type of device. The device you want is called a clinet-bridge.

It is mostly a technicality of which device is doing the "connecting". You could for example connect it to your PC ethernet port and then take another pc that has a wireless card and connect to your first PC.

Much simpler to just buy a cheap USB wireless nic than messing around...unless you just want to play with stuff.

Thanks for the answer. I basically figured it out on my own. I tried to direct connect into it and access it's internal settings to see if I could fiddle with some kind of adhoc settings but want getting anywhere. I just ended up taking an old Dell Vostro 1500 laptop and bridging it's wireless and Ethernet adapters. It just takes up more space is all and I didn't want to have to do it.

BTW, the trendnet was $10 at a Goodwill so not really cheaper to go buy some USB thing. I ordered a 50ft cable from monoprice. Gonna use the laptop method until it arrives.
