I have a TV which is positioned against two walls, so its pretty hard for me to plug in a USB or similar every time I want to do that, so my question is, will there be any problem using an extension USB (I only have 3.0 cable in my case) cable on a TV?

Shorter cables are susually better at delivering stable transfer-speeds for USB3, that is just a fact. 1.8 m is long for USB3.
Cable will work, but see that you don't get some cheapo chinese no-name (is it may be USB 2.0 without telling), go fro a branded quality. Still, keep it as short as possible.

I found a 1.8M USB 3.0 cable, that is what I have, I do think it is something random. Why/how does it matter?

Oh, sorry, I might have not said it well. I mean, can it damage the TV? It looked like you mentioned that just because I am asking for a TV appliance, and not a PC for an example.
