can i use ac97 audio panel with my motherboard

Because i changed my motherboard it has hd audio driver i connected ac97 front audio panel but nothing work on audio panel and when i insert audio jack to it windows can't detect it.
But back panels are working right
So i where is the problem
My specs
gigabyte ga78lmts2
Cpu amd fx 4300
Ram 4 gb
Gpu nvidia gt 610 2gb

Connect HD audio to HD audio and ac97 to ac97. They don't work with each other.
