Can I use ADSL router with DSL modem for cable broadba

I have cable internet with DSL modem and I bought ADSL router for WIFI. Can I use ADSL router with DSL modem for cable broadband?
model numbers - iball Baton -iB-WRA300N

1) Cable to MODEM (via coax)

2) MODEM to Router (via Ethernet cable)

3) MODEM to devices (either by wired Ethernet or wireless... if wireless should setup SECURE network thus need password/username for each device)
