Can I use an 8+6 power cable on a GTX 1080 ti?

Can I use an 8+6 power cable on a GTX 1080 ti? I know the gigabyte, and asus turbo only requires 8+6, but what about the other ones that needs 8+8 cable, will they work with 8+6 cable?

If the card has 2 - 6+2 PCIE power ports you need 2 - 6+2 PCIE connections from the PSU to the card.

The Gigabyte GTX 1080Ti Gaming only needs 8+6 cable. Does anyone know if that card is inferior to the other 1080 tis using 8+8 power cable? Thanks alot!

No it's not inferior , performance will be pretty much equal.
