Can I use an Ethernet cable as a crossover cable?

You need to have a new jack and a crimp tool to crimp the new jack. then you need to "crossover" the wires in it.

The wires in the cable need to be configured as per below:

So you can MAKE a crossover cable with an ethernet cable, but no you cannot use the cable as is.

I see, thanks. And if I just buy one to make things easier, does the side of the cable matter? Or are both sides the same?

Thanks :) Will this be enough or is there a need for another cable? http://en.ksp.co.il/?uin=293
Because I see that there a few different names: this http://en.ksp.co.il/?uin=293 , this https://www.rbs-telecom.com/index.php?dir=site&page=catalog&op=item&cs=21&langpage=eng , and this http://en.ksp.co.il/?uin=290&select=
What's the difference between them?
