So i was wondering if i could use a recent power supply for my build as im trying to save a bit of money,

It's a 430W power supply and on PC Part picker it sais my total needed will be about 244W so i know that i'm within the limits there, What im unsure about is if they need to be specifc power supplys for specifc parts / mother boards or if any of that stuff matters,
it's pretty new and i had no problems with it in the past so i hope i can use it in my new build to save a bit of cash.

Thanks

I am big on using old parts, I say it will be fine.

And before you ask the next question, if the PSU has a 20-pin connector, you can leave the last 4 pins unused. Same with the 8-pin EPS connector, if your PSU only has a 4-pin one, leave the other 4-pin unused.

Exactly how old is the PSU unit? If it's within 3 years of age then I'm sure you would be fine.
