Can I use an used CMOS BATTERY?

Hello guys, as the title says, can i use an used cmos battery of another computer cause mine died and unfortunately i dont have any pc store nearby so im too lazy to go there???

probably yes.

there's also dollar stores - you can usually score a CR2035 there for... well, a dollar. don't be lazy.

the cr2032 has been the cmos battery part # since computers had em.the are a couple of bucks for two of em where i am.how do you know what condition the old battery is in?you could be replacing crap with crap.drugstores sell em.

you can possibly try a CR2025 or if you're really desperate a CR2016 (they're just thinner and thinner as the last number is smaller)
