Question Can i use asus g751JY motherboard on asus g751JL?

I have an asus g751jl whose motherboard needs replacing, i searched and found my only option on Ali express. I also found that g751jy had the same motherboard just with a different graphics card i.e nvidia gtx 980M , can i use that motherboard in my laptop? it includes processor and graphics card.

Why do you need to replace the motherboard? If you get a new board you have to go reinstall windows and the drivers. You also have to physically install the board again. It’s not a good choice in my opinion. Ali Express has a lot of scams and cheap parts that don’t work. You will have to go through the hassle of getting a refund if the board does not respond. I’d recommend getting a new laptop but if a new board is your only choice, go for it.

my g751jl motherboard died and im thinking of getting g751jy motherboard which has gtx 980m. I got pics of both motherboards online and they both look deadly similar. I know the cooling system is better on jt and jy model with bulkier bottom case so i have planned to get the bottom case and mobo of jy and put it on jl and also get the 230w adapter to fire it. I'm just sure if everything will pan out. And whats more important is im not sure if the jy bottom case will fit on jl even the apart from being thicker the width and length seems same. Please advise
