Can I use Audio Visual Drives as an OS disk?

I recently picked up some drives for a good price and i was wondering if i can use them as my main OS drive.

They are supposed to be for video recording.

Western Digital RE2 WD4000YS 400GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

Western Digital RE2 400GB 7200 RPM SATA 1.5Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

I did notice that they are rated near 400 by passmark.
Usually I like to use drives above 700 for the main drive

Is there any other reason besides slower speed, not to use these drives?

Nope, they will work as OS drives.
